Coffee ride

Due to randomly perfect weather, our trainer session for tomorrow (Sunday, Nov. 26) morning is cancelled. We're making the best of this drastic climate change by taking our bikes OUTSIDE. Meet us at Kaldi's in Kirkwood at 8am for a group ride around town. It will be an easy ride at a moderate pace for about 2 hours. Bring money for coffee and muffins!

Ride on.

Monthly Maintenance Schedule Changed

We are glad to announce a time change in our monthly maintenance schedule.

Instead of being the first WEDNESDAY of the month at 6PM, we have changed our maintenance class to every first SATURDAY of the month at 9:30AM.

This class is free and open to all riders of all kinds - mountain, road, hybrid, recumbent, etc. The class usually runs for a little over an hour and includes flat tire repair, cleaning and lubing your bike, and a guideline of how to perform a quick safety check on your bike before you ride. We will have a short Q & A afterwards also.

Bring your friends and your front wheel if you can! If not, we have plenty of spare wheels for you to practice on.

The first class will be December 2nd; see you then!

Trek Demo Sweetness

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the demo! We had an absolute blast wrenching and meeting all of you. The turnout was huge - over 150 riders in a span of 2 cold, windy days!

We can't wait to host the demo again in the spring time. If you received a special Demo Day coupon, make sure you come in to get your favorite bike before it expires on Nov. 30th!

Trainers and Pilates - the perfect cold weather combo!

We are super excited to announce our cold weather specials this year. We will be leading in-shop trainer sessions and pilates every week.

Sunday mornings, starting Nov. 19th, from 10:30am-11:30am we will bring our no-drop road ride into the shop and form our no-drop trainer rides;) Bring your trainer, buy one from us, or rent one for $3.

Thursday evenings, starting Nov. 30th, from 8pm-9pm Derek will lead a pilates class. He has been teaching for awhile and will gear the classes towards cyclists and triathletes. He only asks that you bring your own mat with you.

Prices are $8/each class or $25/4. MultiSport Club members receive a discount. Please sign up at the shop and call before you come to make sure at least 5 people have signed up (we require a 5 person minimum attendance and a 25 person maximum attendance). CASH OR CHECK ONLY! Either call the shop or come in to register.

Now that the weather has gotten colder, these classes are perfect to keep your fitness up and your holiday belly-bulge down. Move away from the couch, stop looking at the turkey in the fridge, and get shakin'!

Super SUPER Light (SSL)

Weighing in at merely 14.8 lbs. is the newest member of the Trek St. Louis Family - the 2007 Trek Madone SSL 6.9. It's made of the new High Modulus OCLV carbon and comes with some sweet OCLV carbon wheels. This one found a home, but there are plenty more looking for a place to stay. (Make sure you wipe off the drool on your keyboard.)

It's Coming!!!

We've been searching the globe for a new brand of mountain bikes to compliment Fisher and Trek's already stacked line of off-road machines. Actually we didn't find a new brand at all. We found an original. Allow us to introduce Yeti Cycles as the newest member of the Trek Store family. Yeti has as deep a tradition in mountain biking as any company around and we welcome them with open arms. John Tomac, Juliana Furtado, Missy Giove, Myles Rockwell, Jimmy Deation and many others got their start racing for John Parkers Durango based company. Now located on the front range in Golden, Colorado, they make some of the best bikes in the world. Yeti's history section on their website might still be under construction, but click on the photo below to take a tour of the factory.Bikes will be in the store soon. We'll keep you posted.
