Kids triathlon a HUGE success!!!

The 1st Annual Parkway Central Age Group Triathlon was a huge success! Props to Kevin Mabie for putting it all together. Kids from ages 6-18 participated and had a blast amidst the rainy weather. I was personally amazed to see such dedicated and athletic kids. It was an honor for our shop to sponsor the race and we can't wait to do it again!

I've had a few parents contact me about their children joining our Multi-Sport Club. If anyone else is interested, shoot me an email at Jessica@trekstl.com and I can fill you in! Our next club meeting is Monday, September 11th at 8pm here at the shop so hurry up before the meeting comes around!

Trek World Update - Celebrity Status

The first crew met some rockin' celebrities at Trek World - Bob Roll, Zap, Chrissy and Chris from the Women's Demo Crew, Dave Mirra, and Gary Fisher. I had the brilliant opportunity to mountain bike ride with Gary (on a Genesister full suspension of course). Thanks Gary!

You may be wondering why Dave Mirra was at a Trek convention...well, Trek has thrown Mirra Co. in the lineup. His new BMX line is definitely going to shock you. He even has kid sizes with aluminum frames so it's easier for the little guys to pop those tricks.

Tour de Rock! and MS-150 touring

Last week our shop was blessed with 2 distinct types of touring riders. We first met two guys riding their bikes to raise money for charity:

Jason Heath and Brock Arsenault are riding their bicycles across the country from California to Connecticut in order to raise money for the Livestrong foundation and the Waterford Country School's new gymnasium. They stopped by our shop to get some maintenance done and take a photo.

They both work at the Hard Rock Cafe and are self-supporting themselves on their ride. If you would like to donate, go to the Tour de Rock website .

A fellow customer, Kelly Sleeper, stopped by the shop to display his new trailer setup. With the help of a Yakima Blockhead, he mounted his road bike onto his trailer and attached it to his hybrid. He will be pulling his road bike all the way to Columbia, MO for the MS-150. Way to go Kelly!
